The Astralis Club has announced its plans to launch a highly exclusive and ultra- luxurious international air-services using specially configured, wide-body Boeing 747- 400 aircraft.

U.K. based aviation entrepreneur and Astralis Managing Director, Tony Easton AMRAeS said:- “Air travel lost its glamour during the 1960s. Today, the endless queues, delays and fight for space render air travel little more than a tolerated necessity – and the death of Concorde added a huge prestige gap.

The British Astralis Club changes this by returning international air travel to its ‘golden era’ of the 1930s, 40s and 50s – a time when the journey, as well as the destination, were a pleasure to be savoured in the company of a small and exclusive group of like-minded travellers”.

Astralis will provide its ‘niche air-service’ aboard a fleet of ‘queen of the skies’, Boeing 747-400’s, chosen for their cabin volume and proven four engine safety record. Each aircraft will be converted and outfitted to feel more like a private club than an airliner with several lounges, a piano bar, a bistro restaurant and much more..

These aircraft, which Astralis is calling its Galaxy Jets, will initially fly from London to Dubai and London to New York.

“Our Galaxy Jets will seat a maximum of only fifty guests and on-ground and in-flight services will be exemplary, very special and second to none” says Easton, “they will be akin to the very best hotels and the ‘blue riband’ ocean liners of the 1930’s. Astralis will restore the glamour of aviation past, together with the safety, speed and technical advances of 21st century flight.”
