China's largest low-cost carrier Spring Airlines (SC) reported on Saturday that its operating revenue for the first three quarters jumped 13% from a year earlier to 6.33 billion yuan.
The budget airline's net profit attributable to shareholders surged 83% to 1.20 billion yuan in the first nine months, the carrier said in its nine-month result. Basic earnings per share stood at 3.09 yuan.
Lower jet fuel prices, robust air traffic demand and air routes subsidy are leading to the strong profitability in the first nine months of this year.
