During its initial order, the Air Academy New CAG aviation school had agreed to purchase 8 Sonaca 200 Trainers (including 4 firm orders and 4 options). Denis Petitfrère, the Director of Air Academy New CAG, said "The first two Sonaca 200s, which were put into service in March 2019, gave us total satisfaction. Each plane has had 200 hours of flight and feedback from the instructors and students have been excellent: the aircraft is spacious; it offers great visibility and very good stability even in bad weather. "

Air Academy New CAG is aiming for a fleet of modern aircraft

For Air Academy New CAG, the acquisition of 8 Sonaca 200s will complete the renewal of its school aircraft fleet that began in 2015: "Having a new and modern fleet is indispensable and it also shows our expertise and professionalism. The older planes generate maintenance and repair costs (structure and engine parts) and plane immobilization on the ground. We have also noticed that students have less respect for the older planes, they are less careful with these machines which therefore deteriorate even more quickly. "

Sonaca 200 after-sales service

In April 2019, Sonaca Aircraft set up an Internet platform with over 400 spare parts in stock to better serve its clients and maintenance centers. "This new platform allows us to instantly find all the necessary parts and know the price. We also appreciate the after-sales service provided by a dedicated Sonaca Aircraft team which is available and reachable 24/7. "

With 150 students in PPL training courses and several dozens of candidates on the waiting list, Air Academy New CAG is counting first and foremost on the availability and reliability of its aircraft.

"We are delighted with the first two delivered aircraft: their performance and reliability, the easy maintenance and the aircraft availability rate. We are looking forward to the delivery of the next two Sonaca 200s in June and in August 2019 and we have already confirmed the purchase of 4 additional planes", said Denis Petitfrère, the Director of Air Academy New CAG

Sonaca Aircraft is a subsidiary of the Sonaca Group, a major stakeholder for over 80 years in the development, manufacture and assembly of advanced aeronautical structures for the civil, military and space markets. With a start-up capital of more than 3 million euros, Sonaca Aircraft is 90% owned by the Sonaca aeronautics original equipment manufacturer. Sonaca Aircraft’s activity covers the development, certification and marketing of the single-engined two-seater aircraft "Sonaca 200" specially designed and adapted for pilot training and recreational flights. EASA-certified in the CS-VLA airworthiness category, the Sonaca 200 stands out due to its robust structure which is entirely made of metal, its sound handling, its high payload mass, and its very low operating cost thanks to the expertise of a global aeronautics group.
