Congratulations! Magnetic MRO achived a new milestone by welcoming a freighter Boeing 737 for the company’s 600th C-Check! The latest symbolic achievement echoes the company’s ever-improving efficiency, as well as the geographical expansion of its clientele.
“Just a couple of years ago we completed our 500th C-Check, and now it’s already the 600th! Back in 2002, we had only one bay with about a dozen of heavy maintenance checks per year. Today, we have multiple bays with automated docking stations, an RFID tooling system, and other tech-oriented solutions that are empowered by LEAN processes. This allows us to conduct up to 50 C-Checks a year, supporting aircraft operators and owners from across Europe,’’ shared Sergei Shkolnik, Base Maintenance Director of Magnetic MRO.

The aircraft under maintenance is a Boeing 737-400 freighter, operated by a Central European airline ASL Airlines Hungary. The aircraft reached Magnetic MRO’s facilities in Tallinn, Estonian earlier in August 2019 and is due to be returned into service in mid-September 2019.
“Though Boeing 737 CL was the very first type of aircraft we performed a C-Check on, nowadays it’s a very rare bird in our hangars. But at the same time, we are very glad to welcome our brand-new base maintenance customer – ASL Airlines Hungary. With this in mind, the 600th C-Check is a very symbolic achievement which combines Magnetic MRO’s both legacy and new achievements!” added Sergei Shkolnik.
At its Tallinn-based Base Maintenance hub, Magnetic MRO provides extensive maintenances services, covering C-, D-, Phase-checks, minor and major modifications, aircraft painting, interior works, NDT and other. The company’s heavy maintenance capabilities cover Boeing 737 NG/CL and Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
