Tecnam partnered Buiqui Aerospace, one of the most prestigious flight schools in the USA, with multiple bases in the US and Puerto Rico and strategic partnerships with major airlines and aviation universities. The announcement coincides with the delivery of two P2006T, one P2010 Lycoming IO-360, one P2010 TDI Gran Lusso and one P-Mentor. The remaining aircraft will be delivered in batches within the second quarter of 2025.
With this acquisition, Buiqui Aerospace will fully transition to a modern and ultimate fleet of Tecnam trainers, allowing more students to begin and complete their training, creating exponential value for Buiqui Aerospace. Flying a Tecnam will give students access to state of the art aircraft, providing them with an enhanced experience throughout their flight training and easing their transition into the cockpit of a commercial aircraft. Buiqui Aerospace has also been appointed as a Tecnam Authorised Service Centre as its technicians have successfully completed mechanical training at Tecnam's base in Sebring, Florida.
Oliver Buitron, Buiqui Aerospace Founder and Chief Executive Officer commented: “We’re very excited about this partnership with one of the leading companies in the aviation space. TECNAM vision aligns with ours in paving the way by providing the best of the best. The acquisition of these planes will provide a more enhanced experience for all our students, mechanics and staff. It will enrich the flight training experience for current and prospective students. The addition of the 50 Tecnam aircraft to our fleet will allow our students to have more preparation as they continue their pathway to our partners such as Frontier Airlines, Mountain Air Cargo and Commute Air. Our team is looking to be a Tecnam only fleet by 2025, so today will be a massive step towards that goal.”

Tecnam Managing Director, Giovanni Pascale Langer said: “We are deeply honored that Buiqui Aerospace has chosen Tecnam to fully replace their existing fleet with our aircraft. This decision underscores the trust and confidence Buiqui Aerospace has in Tecnam’s innovation, performance, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions for the aviation industry. This partnership marks a significant milestone for both companies, and we are proud to join forces with such a forward-thinking and dynamic organization. Together, we are not only expanding their fleet but also supporting Buiqui Aerospace’s vision for growth, modernization, and excellence in aviation. Tecnam is excited to be part of this journey and looks forward to a long-lasting collaboration that will benefit both companies and the aviation community at large.”
Walter Da Costa, TECNAM’s Chief Sales Officer added: “Solera Bank played a pivotal role in this transaction, aligning closely with Tecnam’s vision and principles. Both organizations are committed to supporting flight schools in fully transitioning to a new era of aircraft, ensuring superior outcomes for pilot cadets, mechanics, and company shareholders alike. This partnership delivers a comprehensive solution that meets the needs of 21st-century businesses.”
