European Flyers has selected both the Airliner and the ALX for its bases in Madrid and Alicante, making it the first Airliner simulator installed in Spain. This dual acquisition highlights European Flyers’ strong commitment to innovation and excellence in airline pilot training.

The Airliner is an FNPT II MCC–certified hybrid simulator that combines fly-by-wire and conventional flight controls, offering the ideal platform for APS MCC and MPL Phase II advanced training. Purpose-built around APS MCC learning objectives, it develops key airline competencies such as automation management, crew coordination, leadership, and threat and error management. Its generic airliner design provides greater flexibility and broader skill transfer, ensuring trainees are confidently prepared for airline pilot operations and able to transition smoothly into any type rating, regardless of aircraft type.

The ALSIM ALX provides up to 4 classes of aircraft–from single-engine piston, and twin-engine piston to twin turboprops and medium twin jets. The device is designed and approved for PPL, CPL, IR/SE/ME and MCC in compliance with all current regulatory standards. The ALX offers advanced technology simulation equipment tailored to all specific training requirements. In addition, it has a proven track record for cost-effectiveness and helps save numerous aircraft hours.

Luis Miñano Gomez, CEO of European Flyers, commented: “At European Flyers, our choice of ALSIM reflects a shared vision: training pilots for the real operational environment of today’s airlines, not just to pass a stage of their training. In an industry that evolves as rapidly as aviation, staying at the forefront of technology is not optional – it is essential. ALSIM’s simulators allow us to offer a learning environment that is realistic, reliable and fully aligned with current airline standards. Within this commitment, the ALSIM Airliner plays a key role. Its dual configuration — fly-by-wire logic similar to the A320 and conventional flight controls comparable to the B737 — provides exceptional flexibility. This enables us to prepare our students effectively for airline selection processes and to support a smoother, more efficient transition to their future type rating. Our decision is also underpinned by a long-standing relationship with ALSIM, built on more than 15 years of operational experience. We know first-hand the reliability of their simulators, their ease of maintenance, low operating costs and the value of a strong after-sales support structure — all critical factors in ensuring long-term, sustainable growth. This acquisition fits squarely within our post-merger growth and modernisation strategy following the integration with Aerotec, reinforcing European Flyers’ position as one of Spain’s most advanced and forward-thinking pilot training organisations.”

Leonardo Rodrigues, Sales Manager at ALSIM, stated: “European Flyers shows a powerful example of progress with respect for aviation tradition. More than twenty years after their first ALSIM simulator, this new acquisition accompanies the modernization of Mutxamel and Cuatro Vientos while preserving the values and traditions that have defined their training philosophy for generations.”
