Intercontinental Aviation Enterprise  and HADID International Services have signed a MOU to jointly develop a state-of-the-art aviation academy in the UAE. The Intercontinental Aviation Academy will leverage IAE's expertise and HADID's global network and resources to meet the growing demand for world-class aviation training in the region. This partnership highlights both organisations' dedication to advancing aviation education and creating sustainable infrastructure to support the future of the aerospace industry.

Wissam Mehyou, CEO and Chairman of IAE commented: "We are thrilled to join forces with HADID to bring this vision to life. This partnership will allow us to expand the initial project's operational capabilities and enhance education and training programs. Our goal is to set a new standard for aviation training—one that is efficient, responsive to the needs of regional and international students, and offers airlines and operators closer, high-performance training. IAA will not only support the Gulf's thriving aviation sector but also establish new benchmarks in training excellence for pilots, technicians, and aviation professionals."

Key highlights of the collaboration include shared ownership, a focus on innovative training programs designed to meet global aviation standards, and addressing the region's workforce needs. The academy will provide comprehensive training, from entry-level courses to Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) programs, catering to both individuals and businesses (B2B and B2C). Furthermore, the academy will leverage HADID's decades of experience to offer a first-of-its-kind program providing corporate training and certification, for international flight support.

Mohamad Hadid, Chairman of HADID International Services, stated: "HADID has been a pioneer in the aviation industry since 1981, providing flight support and international trip planning across the globe. Over the decades, we have seen the evolution of flight support services, having played a foundational role in the industry's growth, particularly in the Middle East. This partnership reflects our commitment to passing on our expertise and legacy to the next generation of aviation professionals. By combining forces with IAE, we are building a robust platform that will set a new benchmark for aviation training in the region and beyond."

The first Intercontinental Aviation Academy UAE expects to welcome its first students in the last quarter of 2025.
