AMAC Aerospace have worked five Boeing B747 simultaneously at the headquarter in Basel, Switzerland. This landmark achievement demonstrates the operational capacity AMAC Aerospace Switzerland have for wide-body aircraft maintenance, completion and refurbishment.

AMAC Aerospace hangars in Basel, Switzerland has a total hangar floorspace of 33’130 m2 spread across 5 hangars, an apron area of 64,610 m2 and 6,704 m2 of workshop and office space. This allows AMAC Aerospace to welcome several wide-body aircraft at the same time, as demonstrated this month when 5 Boeing B747 underwent maintenance at the same time.

This rare capability offers customers faster response times, shorter turnaround times and greater flexibility for their wide-body aircraft. It showcases the strength of AMAC Aerospace’s infrastructure and operational planning which is followed by AMAC Aerospace’s ‘one-stop-shop’ approach with dedicated workshops and experienced technicians and engineers, giving customers efficiency when bringing their aircraft for work.

Kadri Muhiddin, Group Executive Chairman & CEO at AMAC Aerospace commented: “At AMAC we are extremely proud to have had this unique opportunity. It show cases to the World that we aspire to be the preferred MRO/Completion center to a great many aircraft owners/operators.”

AMAC Aerospace is offering narrow and wide-body VIP/VVIP Completion and Maintenance for the corporate/private aviation market. The company was founded in 2007 in Basel, Switzerland. Today the company is the largest privately-owned facility in the world and led by Kadri Muhiddin, Executive Chairman/Group CEO and Mauro Grossi, Group CFO and their Executive Management. The successful progress attests to the commitment to excellence. With long-term industry engagement, deep industry roots, extensive experience and strong international network, the AMAC team collaborates to exceed the expectations of clients, airworthiness authorities and original equipment manufacturers.
