Robert Gaag (55) will be appointed as Senior Vice President Corporate Sales for Europe, Middle East, Africa (EuMEA), following Wolfgang Weynell, who has hold the position since 1 July 2014. Weynell will remain Senior Vice President Corporate Sales & Marketing until 31 December 2015, when he retires from Lufthansa Technik after 39 years with the Company.
The nomination of Robert Gaag, currently Vice President Sales North America, completes the new structure of Lufthansa Technik's sales organization. The new team around Frank Berweger, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Americas, Gerald Steinhoff, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Asia Pacific, and Robert Gaag will form a global de-centralized approach of Lufthansa Technik's sales activities. The main targets of the re-organization are a better focus on emerging regions of the global MRO market, more flexibility to fulfill individual customer needs and direct access for customers to the top management of the company.
Starting January 2016, the regional Heads of Corporate Sales will directly report to the Chairman of Lufthansa Technik Executive Board, Dr. Johannes Bussmann.
