Magnetic MRO will cooperate with Kuehne + Nagel in offering global engine stand management solutions. The combination of Magnetic MRO brand EngineStands24.com and Kuehne + Nagel engine logistics solution KN EngineChain will result in a global digitalized one-stop solution for transportation and storage of aerospace engine stands.

This co-operation will set a new industry standard in engine stand management and logistics support. It will feature immediate availability and visibility of engine stands across Kuehne + Nagel global logistics aerospace hubs. As of the start, the Kuehne + Nagel KN EngineChain hubs in Amsterdam, Singapore and Dubai will be operational.

Customers will benefit from specialized engine warehousing facilities and the global 24/7 customer support of the KN EngineChain certified logistics staff.  Parties agreed to offer one-way pricing for engine stand logistics between the continents in order to provide the ultimate convenience for their customers. Live tracking of engine locations along with other operational data will also be provided regardless of engine type or destination of delivery.

“We are very excited about this co-operation with Kuehne + Nagel”, says Jonas Butautis, CEO of Magnetic MRO. “For some time now we have been puzzled at the lack of customer-focused, quality standard, all incorporating engine logistics solution on the market. Rethinking the logistics and warehousing processes, engine stands lease and returns, IT and communication solutions, we are creating a solution which matches the customer needs, who move these valuable assets around the globe. At Magnetic MRO, we are happy to have found a like-mind global partner, Kuehne + Nagel and its industry award winning KN EngineChain solution to further develop this offering”.

“We look forward to this cooperation with Magnetic MRO. We have discussed engine stand management challenges with leading parties in the aerospace industry. The visibility and availability of engine stands is a key industry issue” says Erik Goedhart, global head of aerospace and industrials at Kuehne + Nagel. “This cooperation will enable customers to align engine stand asset management and visibility with the technical status and actual asset value. As such, with Magnetic MRO this is a further innovation to our KN EngineChain solutions. It will result in reducing total asset management cost of our customers, and safeguard the quality support for these important efforts”

Magnetic MRO and Kuehne + Nagel both will market this joint product to their respective customers, including airlines, MROs, leasing companies, OEMs and vendors.
