Pan Am International Flight Training Center – Thailand has begun offering pilot training instruction in their A-320 and B-737NG full-motion Level-D simulators located at their Bangkok training center.
Previously, these simulators were available for ‘dry’ lease only—where airline customers provided their own instructors. Pan Am is now offering “wet” training for customers seeking Pan Am’s experience and instruction protocols. Customers will still have the option to dry lease if they choose.
Mr. Yusuke Egashira, Thailand Training Center Manager of Sales & Administration states: “This facility is relatively new, and since our opening just over a year ago we’ve been growing our capabilities at a steady pace. Our new Lockheed Martin B737NG simulator became operational the first of October. Since then we’ve been focused on getting our instructors ready.” Egashira concludes: “We’re please to now offer wet instruction in both the A-320 and B737NG for airline customers in Thailand and the Asia Pacific Region.”
Pan Am –Thailand’s world-class flight training center is located near Suvarnabhumi International Airport on Assumption University’s Campus in Bangkok, Thailand. In addition to housing the A-320 and B-737NG simulators, the center provides classrooms, conference rooms, briefing rooms, and an Airbus 320 Multi-Functional Training Device (MFTD) for systems and procedural protocol training. Two additional full-motion simulators will be added in 2016.
Pan Am is one of the largest and most experienced aviation pilot and airline training organizations, tracing its training heritage back to the earliest days of flight as the original training arm of Pan American World Airways. The company has over 60 full-flight simulators located in 6 major metropolitan areas throughout the U.S., with additional training centers in Europe and Asia. They offer a complete menu of training programs for individuals, airlines, and governments.
