Rotortrade announced the sale of a second helicopter to Heli Support, one of New Zealand’s leading MRO providers and an Airbus completion centre. This new transaction underscores the strong trust and long-term partnership between the two companies, reinforcing Rotortrade’s role as a dependable global source for high-quality pre-owned helicopters.
The aircraft involved is an Airbus H125, manufactured in 2019 with only approximately 250 flight hours. Rotortrade acquired the helicopter from Tajikistan, where it operated as the only Western helicopter in the country. Previously used for tourism and charter flights under a government program to stimulate tourism, the aircraft is now headed for a new mission in New Zealand !
Aurélien Blanc, Rotortrade Executive Director & Head of Regional APAC & MEA commented: “This second delivery to Heli Support is a strong endorsement of the trust and transparency we work hard to build with our partners. Their confidence in our ability to source, manage, and deliver high-quality aircraft is something we value deeply. We look forward to continuing to support their growth and to strengthening this partnership in the years ahead.”
Marcello Corrado Salati, Deputy Head of Region APAC stated: “We are truly grateful for the collaboration and professionalism shown by Heli Support throughout this second project together. Working closely with Kelly and Jason Buick has been a pleasure, and their commitment to quality and reliability aligns perfectly with our own values. We deeply appreciate their trust and look forward to supporting their ambitions with the same dedication in future projects.”
After completing the acquisition, Rotortrade oversaw the full project: registration formalities, ferrying the aircraft to Rotortrade’s European Maintenance Center in Tallard, and preparing the helicopter for dismantling, packing, and sea freight shipping. The delivery process is now underway, with the aircraft expected to enter service early next year.
The new owner, Heli Support, is a major aviation services provider based in Wanaka and servicing operators across the South Island and the wider New Zealand region. The transaction, initiated in mid-October, moved rapidly thanks to mutual trust, streamlined communication, and the technical proficiency of all teams involved.
