StandardAero has been authorized by Honeywell Aerospace as major maintenance provider for repair and overhaul services (MRO) for the Honeywell HTF7000 family of turbofan engines, powering Bombardier Challenger 300/350, Embraer Legacy 450/500, Gulfstream G280 and the recently announced Cessna Citation Longitude business jets.

StandardAero will also own and maintain HTF7000 rental bank engines to support operators during major engine overhauls.  In addition, StandardAero has been authorized for HTF7000 minor repair capabilities in Europe/Middle East/Africa as well as in North America for minor and line maintenance, allowing StandardAero to provide comprehensive major and minor engine MRO services to HTF7000-series to operators.

The authorization, signed on March 11, 2016, is a long term agreement whereby StandardAero anticipates supporting more than 2,400 aircraft over the life of the contract.  StandardAero is implementing complete overhaul capabilities immediately and anticipates performing its first HTF7000 overhaul in the first quarter of 2017.  Minor repair services will be available worldwide, while major engine overhaul capabilities will be based at StandardAero’s Augusta, GA facility.

StandardAero was selected as the preferred partner after a competitive bidding process involving the industry’s best MRO providers.

“This new authorization, on such a successful engine platform, provides an excellent source of future growth for StandardAero and allows us to build on our comprehensive nose-to-tail services for all of our HTF7000 powered aircraft customers,” said Marc McGowan, President of StandardAero Business Aviation.  “Our more than 40 years of experience and industry leading turn-around times supporting Honeywell Aerospace was key to our selection as the MRO partner on the HTF7000.”
