TARMAC Aerosave reached a major milestone with the arrival of its 2,000th aircraft, an Iberia Airbus A330, arriving for an A-check maintenance visit. With 300 aircraft parking positions across its sites and the capability to handle all Airbus, all Boeing's and ATR's types, TARMAC Aerosave continues to reinforce its position as Europe’s benchmark for aircraft storage, maintenance and recycling.

Alexandre Brun, CEO  of TARMAC Aerosave commented: "This continued expansion reinforces TARMAC Aerosave’s ambition to remain a strategic partner for airlines and lessors worldwide while supporting the aviation industry’s evolving operational and sustainability challenges."

The arrival of the 2,000th aircraft across TARMAC Aerosave’s sites in Tarbes, Teruel and Toulouse highlights the company’s strong growth trajectory and confirms its status as one of Europe’s leading players in aircraft lifecycle management.

Over the years, TARMAC Aerosave has built a unique industrial platform combining aircraft storage, maintenance (including painting), transition support and recycling services — offering aircraft operators (airlines) and owners (lessors) a fully integrated, one-stop-shop solution throughout the entire aircraft lifecycle.

With 300 parking positions, TARMAC Aerosave operates the largest aircraft storage capacity in Europe. Thanks to its seven hangars and infrastructure TARMAC Aerosave is specifically designed to support both short- and long-term parking requirements while accommodating a wide variety of aircraft types, from narrow-body aircraft to the largest wide-body fleets.

This broad certification capability remains one of the company’s strongest differentiators in an increasingly demanding market.

The symbolic 2,000th aircraft is an Iberia Airbus A330 arriving in Tarbes for an A-Check maintenance visit, commonly referred to as an 18-month inspection.

Beyond the milestone itself, the operation also reflects the strengthening relationship between TARMAC Aerosave and Iberia. In recent months, the company has successfully completed nine 18 Months Checks for the airline in Tarbes and seven in Teruel with all aircraft redelivered within just 24 hours of arrival — demonstrating both operational efficiency and industrial performance.

While internationally recognized for its aircraft storage and transition expertise, TARMAC Aerosave continues to accelerate the development of its maintenance capabilities ad working party operations.

The company is expanding its expertise across a wide range of high value-added services, including:

  • engine changes and modifications on site and out station,
  • landing gear replacements,
  • A-Checks, C-Checks,
  • heavy maintenance operations such as 6Y Checks,
  • and engine maintenance on CFM, LEAP and GP7200 engines within its dedicated workshop facilities.
