Nesher Aviation placed an order for 10 Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft to support Florida Flyers Flight Academy’s growing training operations. This strategic investment marks a major milestone in the modernization of Florida Flyers’ fleet, reinforcing its commitment to providing top-tier pilot training with the most advanced, fuel-efficient aircraft available today. The first Tecnam P-Mentor from this order will be delivered in November 2025, with additional deliveries continuing as part of a long-term fleet expansion plan spanning the next three years.

Reuven Hahn, Managing Member of Nesher Aviation, commented: “We are thrilled to support Florida Flyers Flight Academy’s expansion with this investment in the Tecnam P-Mentor. Our goal is to provide student pilots with the best tools available to prepare them for successful careers in aviation, and the P-Mentor is the perfect aircraft to achieve this.”

Tecnam’s Managing Director, Giovanni Pascale Langer, stated: The P-Mentor has been a game-changer for flight training worldwide, and we are honored that Nesher Aviation and Florida Flyers Flight Academy have chosen Tecnam for their ambitious fleet expansion. This partnership reaffirms our commitment to providing sustainable, high-performance solutions for the next generation of aviators.”

Rainer Pereira Da Silva, CEO & President of Florida Flyers Flight Academy, said: “The addition of these Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft marks a new era for our flight school. With these state-of-the-art aircraft, we are not only expanding our fleet but also enhancing the overall training experience for our students. Our mission is to equip our pilots with the best training tools available, and this investment in Tecnam aligns perfectly with that goal.”

Key features of the P-Mentor include:

  • Advanced Avionics – Equipped with the Garmin G3X Touch avionics suite, providing real-world training with cutting-edge digital cockpit technology.
  • Fuel Efficiency & Sustainability – Powered by the Rotax 912iSc engine, the P-Mentor boasts significantly lower fuel consumption, reducing operational costs and environmental impact.
  • Enhanced Safety & Reliability – Constructed with an all-metal airframe and designed for superior handling and durability, ensuring maximum safety for student pilots.
  • Cost-Effective Operations – The P-Mentor’s low maintenance requirements and fuel-efficient performance make it one of the most economical training aircraft on the market.

The partnership between Nesher Aviation and Florida Flyers Flight Academy represents a mutual dedication to innovation and excellence in pilot training. By investing in modern, efficient aircraft, both organizations are ensuring that student pilots receive the highest-quality education and hands-on flight experience with state-of-the-art technology.

Tradition, innovation and vision. These factors are taking Tecnam to new horizons. Based on recent data and industry benchmarks, Tecnam offers the greenest training fleet in the world. Flight schools using Tecnam’s single and twin engine fleet can save up to 10 tonnes of CO2 emissions for each student who completes a Commercial Pilot Licence – a 60% reduction compared to a fleet using 100LL fuel across 155 flight hours, including 30 hours in a twin (www.Tecnam.com/soar-greener).
