TMx Aero announces a strategic partnership with Turbine-Worx, located on Craig Field in Selma, Alabama. This partnership will allow the growth of both companies in unique ways including expanding the size of aircraft TMx Aero can support with the large hangar space offered by Hangar 251 and the 720 acres of Craig Industrial Complex. The general-purpose airport has an 8,000-foot runway, new hangars and on-site rail. The site was home to Craig Air Force Base, a key pilot training facility during World War II and in the years before its closing in 1977. You can find the location approximately 45 minutes west of Montgomery, AL.

TMx Aero is elated to grow its book of business and to offer the opportunity to hangar larger aircraft for extended periods of time. Travis Stein, CEO of TMx Aero boasted “this 42,000 sq.ft. facility gives us more space to invite current and new customers to use our Part 145 for their unscheduled repairs and regular maintenance as well as a safe, temperature controlled and expansive space to store their aircraft and rotable parts for extended periods of time when necessary.” Stein continued, “Adding the ability to store entire aircraft, paint, and return aircraft to service makes Selma a one-stop-shop for airlines and leasing companies.”

“In addition, the spacious hangar location has ample capacity to part out aircraft, tag the serviceable parts with Dual Release FAA/EASA 8130s, and store the inventory for our customers or market and sell under consignment. We are proud to be working with Turbine-Worx and their incredible team in Selma. This unique offering is strategic to our long-term growth and a benefit to the local community,” said Stein.

“Craig Field has a rich history in aviation, having played a major role in the training of the nation’s military aviators for decades, and the site has significant growth potential,” Alabama Secretary of Commerce Canfield told Made in Alabama during the initial ribbon cutting last year.

President Ron Mays of City Jet/Turbine Worx shared his excitement for the venture. “We are delighted to have TMx Aero as a part of our local team to support the State of Alabama, to grow the community of Selma and Craig Field, and to give owners and operators the services they need to continue flying.” He continued, “this is more than a partnership, this is putting our community first by expanding our offering and opportunity for continued growth.”
