Turkish Airlines Flight Academy, based in Aydın Türkiye, has recently invested in an ALSIM ALX simulator.The ALSIM ALX provides up to 4 classes of aircraft-from single-engine piston, twin engine piston, twin turbine up to medium category twin jet. The device is designed and approved for ATPL, CPL, and MCC in compliance with all current regulatory standards. The ALX offers advanced technology simulation equipment tailored to all specific training requirements. In addition, it has a proven track record for cost-effectiveness and helps save numerous aircraft hours.

Turkish Airlines Flight Academy has set goals for itself to expand its training capacity professional pilots to meet the increasing need for qualified pilots of Turkish Airlines. The TAFA General Manager Assoc. Prof. İbrahim Zeki AKYURT commented: “As a result of the research, we decided to bring the ALSIM ALX simulator, which is suitable for the desired flight training requirements and conditions, to TAFA. In terms of the features of the ALX simulator, we consider that its contribution to the flight training of professional and well-educated pilots will be high and valuable. Our preference was given to ALSIM, as the company offers proven and reliable FSTD models.”

It’s been a great pleasure to work together with TAFA’s team, which has identified and selected the ALX as the perfect FSTD to meet their training needs. We are looking forward to installing this ALX in the next couple of weeks at their base, in Aydın.”

Turkish Airlines Flight Academy is a single partner Joint Stock Company and 100% affiliate of Turkish Airlines. As a sub-brand of Turkish Airlines, it was founded to train airline pilots needed by Turkish Airlines and provide pilot training (ATP (A) Unified Airline Transport Pilot Training) in 2012.
TAFA, which has been proceeding with training in academy facilities at Aydın Çıldır Airport since 2013 with its 26 training aircraft, 3 flight simulators, and 31 Flight Instructors. TAFA gets the aircraft maintenance service for its training activities at Aydın Çıldır Airport from Turkish Technic, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, which is one of the EASA-approved maintenance organization. TAFA has its OCC team monitor every stage of the training by the dispatchers on duty and the ground control pilot through the ADSB and HATS devices existing on all aircraft.
