Universidad de San Martin de Porres (USMP) in Peru has officially welcomed its first two Tecnam P2008JC MkII aircraft, destined to transform the training experience for its future pilots. Currently, the Aeronautical Sciences program at USMP has 441 enrolled students. Since its inception in 2012, the program has focused on training top-tier professionals for both national and international markets. With the arrival of the P2008JCs, the university not only modernizes its fleet but also significantly increases its operational training capacity, optimizing flight scheduling and ensuring that students complete their instruction hours with cutting-edge technology.

Cesar Cabrera, Director of the School of Aeronautical Sciences at USMP commented: "The incorporation of these two Tecnam P2008JC MkII aircraft marks a fundamental milestone for our faculty. This strengthening of our fleet ensures that our students are trained under international standards, giving them the necessary tools to respond to the challenges of the global aviation environment and satisfying society's demand for skilled professionals."

Diego Cardama, Director of AEROTEC and Tecnam's Dealer for Latin America said:"We are extremely proud to support Universidad de San Martin de Porres in their fleet modernization. The P2008JC MkII is the perfect platform for the demanding training environments in our region. This delivery highlights the growing footprint of Tecnam in South America and our absolute commitment to providing top-tier sales and maintenance support to the institutions shaping the next generation of Latin American aviators."

Walter Da Costa, Tecnam’s Chief Sales Officer, stated: "It is an honor for us to support the Universidad de San Martin de Porres in its vision to be the premier professional aviation school in Latin America. The P2008JC is the ideal training aircraft for this purpose, combining operational efficiency with a student-friendly flight experience. We are convinced that this partnership will strengthen USMP's position as a benchmark in regional aeronautical education."

Technology, Sustainability, and Employability The Tecnam P2008JC MkII is globally recognized for its lightweight design, fuel efficiency, and ease of operation. For USMP, these benefits translate into more sustainable and frequent training operations. Furthermore, standardizing on modern equipment allows graduates to develop superior technical competencies, increasing their employability in an increasingly demanding airline industry.

For large training organizations in Latin America, continuous flight operations are critical to student success. AEROTEC, Tecnam’s exclusive dealer and service center for the region, plays a pivotal role in ensuring this continuity. By providing comprehensive, localized support covering fleet integration, operational guidance, and highly responsive after-sales service, AEROTEC guarantees that USMP’s new aircraft will maintain the maximum dispatch reliability required by an academy of its size.
