After a thorough and detailed tender evaluation process UTair, the prominent Russian based airline, selected Volga-Dnepr Gulf to perform maintenance work on UTair’s Boeing 737-400 aircraft. The work scope includes ship set landing gear change, multiple A-checks and AD/SB accomplishment.

This contract paves the way for a wider and long term cooperation between two companies.

Managing Director of VD Gulf Victor Sherin said: “We are very pleased to cooperate with UTair and are always ready to provide assistance to Russian operators. It is a good beginning and we hope to extend the scope of cooperation to a higher level.”

The UTair airline is the core group of UTair — one of the Russian largest aviation holding, which includes companies engaged in the operation of aircraft (airplanes and helicopters), their repair and maintenance, training and service support flights. UTair airline among the top three leaders of the Russian air transport market. Currently, UTair flies on more than 150 destinations, more than 70 of them — a unique, and has a modern fleet of aircraft, with more than 60 aircraft.

Established in 1996, Volga-Dnepr Gulf has been a reliable maintenance service provider. High quality services delivered by professional personnel are the key factors in the company’s long-standing success in the MRO market. The 22,000 sq. mt. hangar facility commissioned in the first quarter of 2013 allow for concurrent accommodation of six narrow-body aircraft and two Boeing 747-size wide-body aircraft. The hangar feature all necessary equipment and docking, as well as a high-performance ventilation and air conditioning system. The facility is equipped with all the necessary tools to perform heavy base maintenance together with required back shops. Holding approvals from EASA and other authorities for line and base maintenance services, VD Gulf services Boeing 747-400, 737 CL, 737NG, and Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
