Aviation Capital Group, the Newport Beach, California-based global aircraft asset manager, has signed a firm order for 75 additional Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, bringing its cumulative orders for the type to 190 aircraft. The agreement marks the largest aircraft order in ACG's nearly 40-year history and reflects the lessor's continued focus on next-generation narrowbody aircraft, which remain in high demand among airlines worldwide.
Thomas Baker, Chief Executive Officer and President of ACG stated: “ACG’s portfolio strategy is focused on new-technology narrowbody aircraft that are most in demand with airlines globally. Placing the largest order in our nearly 40-year history demonstrates our confidence in the long-term outlook for air travel and in ACG’s role as a key link between airlines, aircraft manufacturers and capital providers.”
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus Executive Vice President Sales for Commercial Aircraft stated: “This significant investment reinforces our longstanding partnership with ACG. The order ensures ACG will continue offering airlines access to the A320neo Family well into the next decade. We are proud of ACG’s continued confidence in the world’s most advanced and efficient single-aisle aircraft family.”
Airbus welcomed the expanded commitment, which further strengthens a relationship that began with ACG’s first Airbus order in 2007. The A320 Family remains the world's best-selling single-aisle aircraft programme, with more than 20,400 orders received globally. The family includes the A320neo and A321neo, both delivering enhanced range, operational efficiency and passenger comfort. Compared with previous-generation aircraft, the A320neo Family reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by at least 20%, while offering one of the widest cabins in the single-aisle market.
