Avolon, one of the world’s leading aviation finance companies, has reinforced its long-term growth strategy with a firm order for 110 Airbus aircraft, including 35 A330-900 widebodies and 75 A320neo Family jets. The latest commitment increases Avolon’s total A330-900 order book to 114 aircraft, while its A320 Family portfolio now stands at approximately 650 aircraft, underscoring the lessor’s confidence in sustained global demand for next-generation, fuel-efficient fleets.

Andy Cronin, Avolon CEO commented: "We continue to see strong demand for new aircraft, and this order further strengthens our long-term delivery pipeline. This positions us to support our airline customers' fleet growth and replacement requirements well into the next decade. We expect demand for both the A330neo and A320neo to remain strong given the long-term growth trajectory of the aviation sector, and we are delighted to further expand our longstanding partnership with Airbus through this agreement."

Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business stated: “This is a major order for both the A330neo and the A320neo Family and we thank Avolon for its repeated endorsement of our products. With this acquisition, Avolon confirms its position as the leading lessor for the A330-900, having purchased 114 of the type from Airbus. It is also another demonstration of the strong demand for the A330neo and A320neo from the lessor community, who clearly value the broad market appeal and flexibility these two products offer in the market space from domestic to regional to long haul routes.”

Powered by the latest-generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the Airbus A330neo delivers exceptional efficiency and long-range capability, flying up to 8,100 nautical miles (15,000 km) non-stop. Compared with previous-generation competing aircraft, it reduces fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions and operating costs by 25%, while its award-winning Airspace cabin enhances the passenger and crew experience with the latest in comfort, connectivity and onboard design.

The A320 Family remains the world’s best-selling single-aisle aircraft, with more than 20,400 orders worldwide. Its flagship variant, the A321neo, offers industry-leading range and performance, meeting the evolving requirements of airlines across global markets. The family delivers at least 20% lower fuel burn and CO₂ emissions than previous-generation single-aisle aircraft, while providing passengers with one of the widest and most comfortable cabins in its class.
