Aeromil Pacific will officially launch the Cessna Citation Latitude in Australia at Sydney Airport on October 8 ahead of a demonstration tour around the country.

The nine-seat Citation Latitude and achieved certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in June 2015, allowing first deliveries began in August.

The aircraft is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW306D1s and has a maximum range of 2,850nm.

Aeromil Pacific managing director Steve Padgett said the Citation Latitude was a “truly exciting new release from Cessna”, with the availability of onboard wireless internet in flight a big plus for business travellers.

“The new flat floor, stand up cabin provides a perfect solution for customers wanting a larger cabin experience in an aircraft with the range to cover the distances in Australia and beyond,” Padgett said in a statement.

Aeromil Pacific is Cessna’s authorised sales representative for the manufacturer’s Citation range of business jets and caravan turboprops, as well as single-engine range of aircraft, in Australia.

The company was recently acquired by Hawker Pacific.

The launch of the Citation Latitude in Australia coincides with the Textron Aviation Customer Conference, which is being held in Sydney on October 8-9.
