Kevin Sheng, CEO, Diamond Aircraft commented: “A company's greatest resource is its people. They accompany the customer on their journey from the moment their plan is set in motion to help them realize their dream of owning an aircraft. With Nick's extensive background, in depth range of aviation knowledge, he is well positioned to serve our Diamond customers in the USA.”
Nick Newby is a 32-year aviation industry veteran with a well-rounded scope of experience, both domestically and internationally. He has been in leadership positions with Cessna Aircraft, Pilatus Business Aircraft, Honda Aircraft Company, and Quest Aircraft Company (Daher) and operated his own aviation consulting and brokerage. He holds an A&P license and has extensive experience with turbine helicopters, turbo-props and Jets. He also holds a multi-engine commercial pilot rating and is a CFI. Based in Western USA and touring with the DA62 and DA50 across the regions, Newby brings an attentive personalized approach for customers, saying that, “I ask them, where do you go? What city pairs do you fly to? Let’s fly that mission in your demo flight to really know how the aircraft works for you. They experience firsthand how the Diamond fits into their own real world.” Newby also added that, “Working with Diamond, is an honor, because the experience of flying in a Diamond is something that everyone always enjoys.”
