Several good news from Embraer at MRO Americas today: Services and Support Contracts with Operators in the Americas and Heavy Maintenance Services Agreement with CommutAir. First Embraer announcement - the signing of multi-year agreements for the Embraer Collaborative Inventory Planning (ECIP) program with two airlines: Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras S.A., from Brazil, and Republic Airways Inc., from the U.S., providing these customers an efficient spare parts planning and replenishment operation with state-of-the-art support from the Embraer, the aircraft manufacturer.

In this regard, the ECIP program optimizes the airline’s inventory while at the same time increases the availability of spare parts for the aircraft fleet.”
Under these contracts, Embraer will manage the planning and replenishment of a sizeable portion of both customers’ spare parts stock requirements covering the E-Jets and E-Jets E2s fleets operated by each airline, respectively. ECIP main benefits include guaranteed availability of parts, optimized inventory with reduced inventory holding costs, fixed spare parts prices, short replenishment lead times and a door-to-door delivery service. Introduced in 2002, the ECIP program takes advantage of Embraer’s large expendables inventory, global purchasing power, and sophisticated software to accurately plan and stock contracted expendables at the best possible pricing.
Embraer announced that CommutAir, a United Express carrier, has selected Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS) in Macon, Georgia, as one of its primary heavy maintenance providers for the airline’s fleet of ERJ 145 aircraft. The multi-year agreement includes airframe maintenance, modifications and repair services provided by Embraer’s portfolio of solutions.
“CommutAir operates and maintains the world’s largest fleet of Embraer 145 aircraft,” said Joel Raymond, CommutAir Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “Our people and aircraft play a key role in United’s network. Expanding our maintenance and technical support relationship with Embraer is a natural fit as we continue to grow our operation with a focus on providing safe, caring, dependable, and efficient service to our passengers every day.”
In July 2020, CommutAir became the sole regional partner to operate the ERJ 145 for United Airlines. CommutAir maintains the largest ERJ 145 fleet in the world with 168 aircraft.
