FACC not only ranks among the international technology leaders in the aerospace industry, but also belongs to the pioneers in the field of Urban Air Mobility. Together with the Chinese start-up EHang, the company is producing a highly innovative autonomous air taxi, the EHang 216. In recognition of its innovative strength and concentrated competence, FACC has now been honored with first place of the Innovation Award in the category Large Enterprises.
Getting quickly from A to B without traffic jams, transport people efficiently and individually in urban areas, speedy and targeted rescue operations, medical transports and much more besides - the field of Urban Air Mobility is multifaceted and is set to become a trailblazer of individual mobility in the near future. Since November 2018, FACC has been working in this future-oriented field to research and implement complete solutions in order to prepare for a new mobility market with enormous potential.
Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC AG, is convinced: "With our autonomous air vehicle, we are pursuing a shared vision of making personal mobility in urban agglomerations even more flexible, fast, efficient and safe. Gold Innovation Award for autonomous air taxi
In recognition of its revolutionary autonomous air taxi, FACC has now been presented with the Gold Innovation Award of the State of Upper Austria. Markus Achleitner, Minister of Economic Affairs and Research of the State of Upper Austria, comments on FACC being honored with first place of the Innovation Award: "Innovative strength fuels competitiveness. As an innovation and production enterprise, FACC has been playing a leading role in Upper Austria for more than 30 years. The production of the autonomous air taxi EHang 216 is considered prime examples of Upper Austrian high technology which can and will change our future - specifically individual mobility in urban agglomerations.”
