SH09 second prototype, P2, has been flying with new main rotor blades that incorporate enhancements to the blade structure and surface finish.

This latest standard, designed for the series aircraft and to be installed primarily on the next prototype (P3), was evaluated on P2 during level and turning flights conducted from Mollis airfield in Switzerland. The blades performed very well, as expected, and the flight test crew reported even better handling and ride qualities from P2 when equipped with them. From now on, such blades will be produced at new facility in Näfels.
