The aircraft can be operated on combustive and lubricating materials, its discharge characteristics are comparable to automobile. The use of MAI-411 may be promising in air travel, air patrols, aerial surveys, instrumental monitoring, air travel, initial training, and flight training.

The aircraft was designed at the development design office of the Moscow Aviation Institute. Its production will be carried out on the basis of the Kizlyar company Concern KEMZ, which is part of the State Corporation Rostec.
