Country: France Aircraft: Airplanes

Sabena technics is pursuing its development by integrating into its group the Fleet Management & CAMO, Powerplant & APU Borescope, Aircraft Modifications, and Flight Ops & OCC activities previously operated within Aéroconseil AKKODIS. This new subsidiary, located in Blagnac and managed by Francesco Aucelli, has a staff of almost 200 experts based in France, Singapore, Dubai, and Montreal. With its Part 21 J & G, Part CAMO, and Part 145 approvals, its activities cover the entire life cycle of aircraft and helicopters.

The new Sabena technics BGC page is in line with the 25 years of experience in its activities, which include more than 75% of leasing companies and airlines. It provides the airworthiness management of 300 aircraft or helicopters. Since its creation, the company has managed over 2,000 modification projects ; in the last four years, they have completed 50 ferry flights.

Philippe Rochet, CEO of Sabena technics commented: “We are very pleased to welcome this new structure and its many talents to Sabena technics. They perfectly complement the know-how of our group with an organization adapted to specific markets that we wish to develop. Covering activities related to aircraft transitions, they address the leasing industry, lighter civil aircraft and helicopter modifications than those carried out by our Bordeaux design office, flight operations, and a range of other activities. This acquisition reinforces Sabena technics’ role as a service provider dedicated to the aircraft industry, providing its civil and military customers with ever-greater support in the technical operations of their aircraft.”
