CANAVIA Aviation Academy is significantly expanding its training capabilities with a major fleet upgrade. The academy has placed a new order for a P2006T NG twin-engine (MEP) and a P2008JC NG single-engine (SEP) aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2027. These join two additional brand new P2008JC NGaircraft already scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026. With these four new Next Generation aircraft arriving over the next 18 months, CANAVIA’s fleet will officially reach 16 airplanes, marking another major milestone in its 17-year history of continuous growth.

Currently training around 100 ATPL students, CANAVIA is dedicated to producing career-ready aviators. The integration of Tecnam's "Next Generation" fleet, equipped with fully integrated, state-of-the-art glass cockpits, is a crucial part of this mission.

Mario Pons, CEO of CANAVIA Aviation Academy commented: "We provide not only ATPL training to get the licenses and ratings, but also to prepare our students as future airline pilots, requiring top-tier technical skills to be developed. The new Tecnams, with fully integrated glass cockpits, will be a core part of fulfilling this requirement. With these new aircraft, CANAVIA will reach a fleet of 16 airplanes, supporting our non-stop increase of activity since we started 17 years ago."

Walter Da Costa, Tecnam’s Chief Sales Officer stated: "CANAVIA is a textbook example of a highly successful, high-volume flight academy. Flying an aircraft for over 1,000 hours a year demands incredible robustness and reliability. We are honored that Mario and his team continue to trust Tecnam's Next Generation fleet—specifically the seamless transition between the P2008JC NG and the P2006T NG—to train their growing roster of 100 ATPL students."

Based in the Canary Islands, CANAVIA operates from a private aerodrome that boasts some of the best flying weather in the world. This geographical advantage, combined with Tecnam’s dispatch reliability, allows the academy to achieve an extraordinary utilization rate: completing more than 1,000 flight hours every year per aircraft. This non-stop operational tempo is further supported by CANAVIA’s own Approved Maintenance Service Center, which keeps the Tecnam fleet in peak condition.
