Triumph Group subsidiary Triumph Gear Systems has received the 2015 Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training Supplier of the Year from helicopter manufacturer Sikorsky.

Thomas Holzthum, executive vice-president for integrated systems, said: “We are very pleased to receive this distinguished award, which is a testament to the manufacturing expertise, valued-added solutions and exceptional service our team provides in support of a number of Sikorsky programs.

“We deeply value our relationship with Sikorsky and are excited about the opportunities ahead on key production platforms.”

Triumph Gear Systems supplies Sikorsky with a variety of gears, shafts and housing assemblies. Sikorsky said that the award “recognises the company’s significant contributions to the S-76 Commercial Helicopter production platform and the S-61R and CH-53 Sea Stallion spares platforms”.
