VoltAero received the coveted E-flight Award at AERO Friedrichshafen general aviation show – adding this oldest international recognition in electric flying to the company’s growing list of honors for its development of the electric-hybrid Cassio airplane family. The 2023 award was presented at the Messe Friedrichshafen exhibition center in acknowledgment of VoltAero’s steady progress in defining and developing the Cassio aircraft concept, with its unique electric-hybrid powertrain.
Jean Botti, VoltAero’s CEO and Chief Technology Officer, commented: “We are continuing a story that my team and I have believed in for many years, and which took off in 2011 with our first electric aircraft concept. Today, we continue our step-by-step approach that is built on evolution, and we are on the right track that will take us to Cassio’s certification and service entry.”
VoltAero was one of more than 120 companies considered for the E-flight Award, with the final` selection made by a jury of industry experts.
