AerSale, Inc. announced today that Bill Thompson has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President, Materials Division. In his new capacity Thompson will oversee AerSale’s global materials acquisition and sales efforts covering all airframe and engine product lines for both commercial and military platforms. Bill joined AerSale in 2010, where he was initially responsible for the sale and marketing of engine materials to commercial and governmental customers.
“Bill’s proven leadership on the engine materials side will serve well our expanding international customer base for all material product lines”, stated Nicolas Finazzo, Chief Executive Officer of AerSale. “Selling competitively-priced used serviceable material to the marketplace and making money doing so are two different things, and Thompson understands how to do both. We are confident Bill will continue his excellent performance in this top leadership role for the benefit of our customers and shareholders.”
Prior to joining AerSale’s team, Thompson worked at several OEM and aftermarket organizations, including GE Aviation, Sabreliner, Rolls Royce Oakland Engine Services and Aviall. Thompson earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Richmond and an M.B.A. from the University of Dallas.
