Aerocardal took delivery of its second LET L-410 NG twin-engine turboprop aircraft, further expanding the company’s capabilities for passenger transport, special missions, and operations into remote destinations across Chile and the wider region.Manufactured by Aircraft Industries, part of the Omnipol Group, the Let L-410NG is widely recognized for its ability to operate in demanding environments where infrastructure is limited.

Aerocardal also serves as the strategic sales partner for the Omnipol Group in the Americas, strengthening industrial and commercial cooperation across the region. The aircraft’s short takeoff and landing performance allows access to unpaved and short runways, making it particularly well suited for operations in remote communities, mining regions, island destinations, and humanitarian support missions.

Aerocardal noted that its first L-410 NG, now with more than a year of operational service, has performed flawlessly and fully in line with expectations, including demonstrating strong reliability in support of mining operations, validating the aircraft type’s efficiency, and suitability for Chile’s diverse operating conditions.

Ricardo Real, CEO of Aerocardal, said the aircraft represents a strategic investment in operational flexibility and national connectivity: “The arrival of our second L-410 NG marks another important step in Aerocardal’s long-term strategy to expand reliable air access across Chile and the region. This aircraft combines rugged performance with modern avionics and passenger comfort, allowing us to serve destinations that would otherwise be difficult to reach safely and efficiently. It also reinforces our commitment to supporting critical operations, including medical transport, industrial activity, and regional development.”

The LET L-410 NG features a modern glass cockpit, increased payload capacity, extended range compared to earlier variants, and the ability to carry up to 19 passengers or specialized cargo configurations. Its robust airframe and high-mounted wing design enable operations in challenging weather and terrain while maintaining low operating costs and high dispatch reliability.

Aerocardal notes that the aircraft’s versatility allows rapid reconfiguration between passenger, cargo, medevac, and surveillance roles, providing a flexible platform for both commercial and governmental missions. This multi-role capability has made the type increasingly attractive for operators serving geographically diverse territories such as Chile.

Third L-410 NG to arrive ahead of FIDAE 2026

The fleet expansion is continuing at pace. The company expects delivery of a third new L-410 NG in mid-March, just ahead of FIDAE 2026, Latin America’s leading aerospace and defense exhibition, which will take place in Santiago. The additional aircraft will further strengthen Aerocardal’s ability to meet growing demand for regional connectivity and specialized aviation services.

With two aircraft now in operation and a third imminent, Aerocardal is positioning the L-410 NG as a core component of its future fleet strategy, complementing its existing capabilities in business aviation, air ambulance services, and customized air transport solutions.
