Air France salutes with emotion the departure of its Boeing 747 from its long-haul fleet, after more than forty years of idyllic travel by Jumbo Jet. On this occasion, the Company is inviting its customers to share in several different celebrations.

Special open days at the Air and Space Museum at Le Bourget

Air France and the Air and Space Museum at Le Bourget are organizing special visits of the Company’s last Boeing 747 on 16 and 17 January 2016. These visits, organized by Air France staff are free but must systematically be reserved online.

On the schedule, a one-hour tour starting on the ramp outside the aircraft with mechanics, a visit of the Business and Economy cabins with cabin crew, followed by a visit of the upper deck and the cockpit with an Air France pilot.

For information and reservations subject to availability go to the dedicated Air and Space Museum’s website.

Two special flights!

On 14 January, Air France is organizing two tribute flights to the Boeing 747 over France and its historic landmarks on board the Company’s last two B747s.

These flights, with the respective flight numbers AF744 and AF747 will take off at 9am and at 11:30am from Paris-Charles de Gaulle for a unique trip: Business class lunch and champagne for all; a commentary during the flight over France, its heritage, its history and its legendary landmarks etc.

On their return to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the passengers of flights AF744 and AF747 will be invited to discover the Company’s maintenance workshops and share a last tribute drink at the foot of the aircraft.
