Air Tahiti has received a new ATR 72-600 equipped with ATR’s HighLine All-Business Class cabin, becoming only the second airline worldwide to introduce this premium configuration on an ATR aircraft. Created for airlines seeking to elevate the regional travel experience, the ATR HighLine cabin selected by Air Tahiti features 26 individual seats in an exclusive 1-1 layout. Every passenger benefits from direct aisle access, while dedicated companion rows offer added privacy for couples. The cabin is further enhanced by generous personal space, integrated storage, USB-A and USB-C charging ports, and an executive-style ceiling design that creates a brighter, more spacious atmosphere.

The aircraft will serve as the flagship of Air Tahiti Signature, the carrier’s new premium travel product linking Tahiti with some of French Polynesia’s most coveted destinations, including Bora Bora and Raiatea-Tahaa. Commercial operations are expected to begin in December 2026.

Developed in close partnership with Air Tahiti, the interior combines contemporary comfort with subtle design cues inspired by Polynesian heritage. Together with dedicated ground services and an enhanced onboard experience, the aircraft forms the centrepiece of a seamless end-to-end premium travel offering.

The delivery also underscores the versatility of the ATR platform. While ATR aircraft are renowned for providing reliable and efficient connectivity between remote communities, the HighLine collection highlights the manufacturer’s ability to support a broader spectrum of business models, including high-yield premium operations. Air Tahiti plans to deploy the aircraft on both scheduled routes and bespoke charter missions.

The new ATR 72-600 joins the airline’s fleet as part of an ongoing fleet modernisation programme, extending a partnership with ATR that spans almost 40 years. Operating across the islands of French Polynesia, the aircraft combines elevated passenger comfort with the operational flexibility, fuel efficiency and lower emissions that have become hallmarks of the ATR family.

The delivery follows the entry into service of the world's first ATR 72-600 featuring the HighLine All-Business Class configuration with Berjaya Air earlier this year. As regional airlines continue to seek new ways to differentiate their products, ATR HighLine is emerging as a compelling solution, demonstrating how the ATR platform can be adapted to meet an increasingly diverse range of operational and passenger expectations.
