An air ambulance from the Air Wing Department at Abu Dhabi Police transported and cared for eight injured people on their way to hospital.

The air ambulance operated on five humanitarian missions where the patients were transported to Al Mafraq Hospital.

The missions saw the ambulance providing medical care and transporting three Emiratis injured in a traffic accident in Al Khatam.

The ambulance moved on to lift two Indian men from overturned trucks, a teenager injured in a motorcycle accident, two men injured when their car overturned, and finally transported a man who had been hit by an oncoming vehicle.

The missions were successful due to the experience the Air Wing Department have in providing ambulance service, search and rescue, aerial photography and road surveillance services.
