Great news for everyone who will fly with airBaltic!  As of April 21, 2021 each unit of checked baggage registered for airBaltic flights can now reach 23 kilograms of weight, an increase of three kilograms. Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “During the last year we have been revising our product. We introduced new ticket types, provided additional flexibility to the passengers, and now also increased the weight of the checked baggage to a level airBaltic has never offered before.”

Passengers with GREEN Classic and GREEN Plus reservations can now register one bag of up to 23 kg for their flight free of charge. For a family travelling with two kids with four pieces of baggage it would mean an extra 12 kilograms of checked baggage allowance.

Passengers with GREEN class tickets can add a checked baggage to their reservation for an additional fee. Additionally, baggage allowance has also been improved for Business class passengers, airBaltic Club members and passengers carrying sports equipment.

airBaltic also continues to offer its passengers heavy cabin baggage service. By purchasing the service, passenger may add additional weight of four kilograms for their free cabin baggage allowance for a price starting at EUR 11.99. By using the service, the total cabin bag allowance can reach a total weight of up to 12 kilograms.

The safety and health of our passengers is airBaltic’s top priority. airBaltic has introduced strong health measures and the flight operations follow the recommendations issued by authorities.
