In March 2017, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried 224 921 passengers or +12% more than in the same period of 2016 throughout its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. During the first three months of 2017, airBaltic has transported a total of 588 768 passengers.
In March the airline operated 3 667 flights, or +14% more than in the same period of 2016, when airBaltic operated 3 230 flights. During the first three months of 2017 the airline operated 10 160 flights.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, was at a level of 68% in March 2017. During the first three months of 2017, airBaltic load factor was at a level of 66%.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 92,3% in March 2017. This means that more than 92 of every 100 airBaltic flights in this year March departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
This summer, airBalltic will add 12 new routes to its network to such cities as Madrid, Geneva, Aberdeen, Tampere, Stavanger, Gothenburg, Kazan, Catania and Liepaja.
