Airhub Airlines signed a wet lease agreement with Garuda Indonesia, the renowned national flag carrier of Indonesia. The Maltese carrier will be deploying its Airbus A330-300 aircraft bearing the registration 9H-LEON between Syamsudin Noor International Airport [BDJ], King Abdulaziz International Airport [JED], as well as Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport [MED] within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The partnership will facilitate the transportation of Indonesian pilgrims during this Hajj season, with the aircraft scheduled to be in operations with Garuda Indonesia from the 29th of May 2023, until the 3rd of August 2023.
Haris Coloman, Airhub Airlines CEO, commented: "We are thrilled to be partnering with Garuda Indonesia. Our collaboration with Garuda is a testament to Airhub Airlines' commitment to enhancing our global reach, encompassing various regions, including Africa, South America, Europe, and now Southeast Asia. Our team looks forward to welcoming the Indonesian pilgrims on board during this Hajj season, and hopefully contributing to a memorable pilgrimage experience.”
Airhub Airlines, having secured the GACAR part-129 approval from the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in early March, has since set its sights on expanding its operations within Asia. The Maltese carrier is poised to continue increasing its presence within the region as demand for wet lease capacity across the continent continues to grow.
