China's first regional commercial jet, the ARJ21-700 took off from Nantong at 11:30 a.m. and arrived in Nanjing after a 30-minute flight on Saturday, completing its last demonstration flight before delivery.

Chengdu Airlines (EU) will take delivery of two home-made ARJ21-700 aircraft in the year end and put them into commercial operation in Feb. 2016.

There are 78 seats in a dual-class configuration and 90 seats in a full economy class configuration, which could fly 2,225 to 3,700 kilometers on regional routes mainly from domestic major cities to neighboring small and medium cities.

The ARJ21-700 regional jet began the half-year route-proving campaign on March 16 and has flied to 18 airports through over 50 flights, with more than 1.5 thousand people involved during over 200 flying hours. These flying experiences were well used as reference to improve the aircraft.

After receiving production certificate, the aircraft will enter mass production next year. To date, COMAC has received a total of 315 orders for the type from 19 customers at home and abroad, including 3 business aircraft from Yanshang Group and Nanshan Group and 3 aircraft ordered by Congo, the first African customer.
