AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines AZAL and Vnukovo Airport  made first step in cooperation. October 25, 2015. When the airline made its first regular flight on the route Moscow-Baku.

To honor the beginning of AZAL flights Vnukovo prepared a special festive program. The opening ceremony was attended by Adviser to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia Vugar Rafig oglu Imamaliev, representative of  "Azerbaijan Airlines" in Russia Rahib Rufulla oglu Isayev, the executive director of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress Ilgar Gumbatovich Hajiyev and "International airport" Vnukovo " Deputy General Director for Commerce JSC Vladimir Buryak and other officials.

"The opening of the new flight our passengers have even more opportunities to plan the best route to travel to Azerbaijan. We wish our partner serious increase in passenger traffic, and best weather for any flight "- said "International airport" Vnukovo " Deputy General Director for Commerce JSC Vladimir Buryak.

Counselor of Azerbaijan Embassy in Russia Vugar Rafig oglu Imamaliev stated, that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev personally ordered of AZAL to establish passenger service between Moscow (Vnukovo Airport) and Baku (Airport. Heydar Aliyev) due to strategic partnership between the two countries and beneficial both Azerbaijan and Russia. "Baku attracts tourists and businessmen from all around the world, as an interesting, safe and dynamic direction. We welcome first passengers of AZAL and congratulate Vnukovo Airport with this iconic, wonderful event, "- said Adviser of Azerbaijan Embassy in Russia.

Vnukovo Airport organized special welcoming event for passengers of the first flight and the festive opening of the new route.  

Vnukovo Airport will provide highest level of service and the carrier will provide full range of services, taking care of the comfort of air travelers. For ground handling services the carrier chosed UTG aviation services.

The winter flight schedule for Baku-Moscow-Baku route will be operated daily by Airbus A320. Departure of the flight from the Heydar Aliyev International Airport - at 15:00 local time, arriving at Vnukovo Airport - at 17:10. Departure from Moscow - at 18:10 and arrive in Baku - at 22:00 local time.
