Beond announced lease and receipt of a new aircraft to serve new customers desiring a unique travel experience to the Maldives. The Airbus A321 aircraft is presently undergoing a reconfiguration to seat 68 discerning customers in premium, all-lay flat seating. The aircraft will sport Beond’s stunning signature dark grey and copper livery. This announcement follows Beond successful service launches from Munich, Zurich, and Riyadh, the completion of a US$13M Pre-Series A Round in December 2023, and the launch of a US$25M Series A funding round. The new aircraft, and these business developments, reflect confidence and belief in Beond's vision, potential, and successes to date.

Beond Chairman and CEO, Tero Taskila, commented: “We are pleased to accept delivery of our second aircraft. Our new customers in Milan, Dubai, and Bangkok will be impressed to see this stunning aircraft at their home airports, and they’ll be thrilled at the service from the start to finish of their journey. We are firmly on track to operate 32 luxurious aircraft with a private jet feel within the next five years, delivering on the promise of our ground-breaking business model in the airline industry and pioneering experience for passengers. Beond team's decades of experience has allowed us to build the best experience in the sky.”

In November, Beond successfully launched commercial passenger services from Munich, Zurich, and Riyadh to Malé, Maldives, the airline’s first hub, with the airline’s first aircraft, an A319 that seats 44 in an all-lay flat configuration. The second aircraft will support Beond’s expansion from Milan, Dubai, and Bangkok to the Maldives in mid-2024. Beond will bring customers to the Maldives from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
