Baltic Ground Services, an international provider of ground handling and aircraft fueling services, has expanded its cooperation with Turkish leisure carrier Freebird Airlines across several airports in the Baltics, while also adding a new location in the Czech Republic ahead of the Summer 2026 season. Under the renewed agreements, BGS will continue providing into-plane fueling services for Freebird Airlines at Tallinn Airport (TLL), Kaunas Airport (KUN), and Palanga Airport (PLQ). In addition, the airline is planning to launch operations from Ostrava Airport (OSR), where BGS will also provide fueling support under a newly signed agreement.
Vitalis Dudys, Head of Commerce at BGS Group commented: “As airlines prepare for the busy summer travel season, operational flexibility and consistent support across multiple stations become increasingly important. We are pleased to continue and expand our cooperation with Freebird Airlines and support their operations across different markets in the region.”
Erhan Taşkın, Director Ground Operations at Freebird Airlines stated: “Our cooperation with BGS has played an important role in supporting smooth and reliable operations across our network. Having a trusted fueling partner in multiple locations allows us to efficiently support our seasonal charter operations and maintain operational consistency throughout the summer period.”
This year, Freebird Airlines marks its 25th anniversary of operations, having served millions of passengers across Europe and popular leisure destinations since its establishment in 2000. The expanded cooperation with BGS supports the airline’s seasonal operations across the Baltics while also marking its planned operational expansion into Ostrava for the Summer 2026 season.
