Czech Airlines and AIRBUS S.A.S. signed a new agreement based on which Czech Airlines will acquire seven new Airbus A320neo aircraft from the manufacturer. The aircraft will be added to the Czech Airlines’ fleet around 2021. The new agreement replaces the original contractual relation of the parties and settles all commitments of Czech Airlines thereto.
In turns, the new Airbus A320neo aircraft will replace seven currently used Airbus A319s upon expiry of their operating lease. The purchase of new Airbus A320neo aircraft will contribute significantly to fundamental modernisation of Czech Airlines’ fleet. “The new agreement with Airbus is another milestone in the company restructuring process. With the new neo type aircraft CSA will get new, the most modern and efficient, generation of Airbus aircraft,” Jozef Sinčák, Chairman of the Czech Airlines Board of Directors said, adding: “The new agreement with Airbus, signed today, replaces the original one in all articles and at the same time settles all original commitments of Czech Airlines towards Airbus.”
The maximum seat capacity of the new aircraft will be 180 or 186 seats in a full economy class configuration.
