easyJet announced its largest release of new routes with 60 new routes now available to book including 33 routes launching from 11 UK airports, with flights taking off for the first time from this winter. The release includes a new winter service to Tromso in Norway for the very first time with departures from London Gatwick, Bristol and Manchester, as well as a year-round service from London Gatwick to Strasbourg, a brand new French destination for the airline. New twice-weekly flights to Tromso will launch on 11 November from London Gatwick with departures on Mondays and Fridays, from Manchester on 19 November with departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays and from Bristol on 5 December on Thursdays and Sundays throughout winter, so customers can plan an arctic adventure in one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights.

Ali Gayward, easyJet UK Country Manager, commented: “We’re delighted to be releasing an incredible range of new routes today for this winter, with 33 new services now available from 11 airports across the UK. Our flights and holidays are available for even more and brand new destinations including Tromso in Norway and the French city of Strasbourg, further strengthening our unrivalled short-haul European network and providing customers with even more fantastic choice and great value.”

Flights to London Gatwick to Strasbourg will operate three times a week on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays throughout the year, giving customers the choice of a week or weekend break to explore this historic French city. The airline has launched three routes from London Luton to Athens and Basel which both start on 7 November and Djerba in Tunisia which will start on 11 November. The new route to Athens will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, complementing the airline’s existing four UK routes to Athens and as a year-round route, customers can also benefit from this being a gateway to the beautiful Greek islands. The new route to Basel will operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and the new route to Djerba will operate year round on Mondays and Fridays.

An additional route to Djerba will also launch from Manchester on 11 November and operate year round on Mondays and Fridays as well as a year round route from Manchester to Zurich which will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 4 November.

easyJet has also announced its second route to Akureyri in Northen Iceland from Manchester, starting on 12 November and operating throughout winter on Tuesdays and Saturdays. easyJet is the only airline that offers direct routes from the UK to Northern Iceland, with a twice-weekly route from London Gatwick that launched last year and now customers have more choice and connectivity to explore Iceland’s Northern winter wonderland.

easyJet new base Birmingham has already seen the launch of 16 new routes this year and today the airline has announced another five new routes to serve demand from customers in the Midlands. Year-round routes from Birmingham to Prague and Marrakech will start on 13 November and 1 December respectively and will both operate on Wednesdays and Sundays, with winter routes from Birmingham to Krakow starting on 15 November and operating on Mondays and Fridays, to Reykjavik from 3 December operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays as well as once a week on Sundays to Innsbruck starting from 15 December.

A new route from Bristol to Agadir will launch on 27 October and operate three times a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and a new route from Bristol to Istanbul will launch on 4 November and operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, both throughout the year.

New flights from Glasgow to Lanzarote will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays from 27 October, to Fuerteventura twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 30 October and to Marrakech twice a week on Mondays and Fridays from 11 November, throughout the winter. A year round city route to Prague will also launch and operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays from 7 November. For more year-round sun from Scotland, customers will also now be able to fly from Edinburgh to Agadir on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year starting from 6 November 2024.

Customers in Northern Ireland will also benefit from a winter route to Fuerteventura starting on 28 October and operating on Mondays and Fridays and new year-round route from Belfast International to Prague will launch on 2 November operating twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Flights to Marrakech from Belfast International will return on 3 November and operating throughout winter on Wednesdays and Sundays.

During January and February 2025, easyJet will fly routes from Leeds to Geneva starting on 18 January and from Newcastle to Lyon starting on 4 January, to provide more convenient connections for customers in the North when booking their winter ski holiday. Also from Newcastle, a new year round route to Paris from 27 October will operate six days a week.

The launch of these new routes mean thousands more package holidays are now available via easyJet holidays for winter 2024.
