Embraer has delivered the first E175 fitted with next-generation RECARO passenger seats to American Airlines, marking another step in the ongoing modernization of one of the world's most successful regional jet platforms. The delivery brings an enhanced cabin experience aimed at elevating passenger comfort while further strengthening the E175's status as North America's regional aircraft of choice. Designed to blend contemporary styling with durability and passenger-focused ergonomics, the new RECARO seats represent the latest interior upgrade available for the E175, underscoring Embraer's continued commitment to improving the passenger experience and operational value of the aircraft.

Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation commented: "The E175 has built an unmatched reputation by continuously evolving to meet the needs of airlines and passengers. The introduction of our new RECARO seats demonstrates our commitment to investing in the platform and delivering enhancements that improve passenger experience while creating additional value for operators."

Rhonda Crawford, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Design and Strategy of American Airlines stated: "As the first U.S. airline to introduce RECARO seats on Embraer E175 aircraft, we're continuing to raise the bar for regional travel. Our goal is to deliver the elevated experience customers want, while creating greater consistency across the American travel experience.”

The new RECARO seats feature a modern slimline design that optimizes personal space and legroom while maintaining a high level of seating comfort. The enhancement supports American Airlines' ongoing cabin modernization strategy and further improves the passenger experience across its regional fleet.

The seating upgrade also reflects Embraer's continued commitment to advancing and modernizing the E175 platform, aligning its cabin environment and passenger experience more closely with the E2 family. Together, these updates create a more mainline-style travel experience while reinforcing the E175's standing as the leading aircraft in the regional jet segment.

Embraer continues to advance the E175 platform through a series of enhancements aimed at improving both aircraft performance and passenger experience. Alongside the latest cabin upgrades, the regional jet benefits from advanced technologies, including enhanced connectivity solutions and next-generation weather radar systems, helping operators boost efficiency, improve situational awareness, and maximize operational performance throughout the aircraft's service life.

Backed by more than 20 years of successful operations and a proven track record with airlines around the world, the E175 remains the benchmark in regional aviation. The aircraft continues to be recognized for its exceptional reliability, strong economics, and passenger-focused cabin experience, reinforcing its position as the preferred choice in the regional jet market.
