Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, is celebrating the launch of its first ever intra-European flights with two new routes taking to the skies from Hannover namely daily services to both Lyons and Milan.
A VIP event hosted by Hannover Airport and attended by high profile guests including Thomas Hermann, the Mayor of Hannover; Flybe’s Chief Revenue Officer Vincent Hodder and Roger Nierman – Director Aviation Sales at Hannover Airport.
Mr Hodder commented: “This is a proud milestone for Flybe and we are delighted to be here today. Flybe’s debut into this new marketplace marks the beginning of our ambition to provide mainland Europeans with the same high level of regional connectivity and choice of high frequency time-saving travel as we currently provides throughout the UK.”

Flybe is Europe’s largest regional airline and has been operating into Hannover from the UK, where it is also the largest domestic carrier, for nearly 10 years and currently operates to Manchester and Birmingham from Hannover, with flights up to 13 times a week for each destination. The new routes from Hannover will take the number up to 15 routes flying up to 155 flights a week out of Germany this summer.
