The International Air Transport Association has announced the global passenger traffic results for November, showing strong traffic growth.

The Middle Eastcarriers had a 9.8% demand increase in November, with capacity rising faster at 11.5%, leading load factor to fall to 69.4%. Business conditions across the non-oil producing private sectors of the UAE and Saudi Arabia are strengthening, helping sustain solid expansion in air passenger demand.

Total revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) rose 5.9% year on year, and after a 5% decline in average fares in currency-adjusted terms, November capacity increased by 4.2% and load factor by 1.3 percentage points to 78%.

Africa experienced continued positive traffic growth, with a 12.2% rise compared to the previous year. With exports improving across the continent, air travel has increased. Capacity rose by 9.8% and load factor rose to 65.1%.
