Boeing and Malaysia Airlines have renewed their Integrated Materials Management (IMM) services agreement for five years, the companies announced at MRO Asia-Pacific in Singapore. The renewed partnership will continue to support the carrier’s maintenance activities and materials planning processes. Through the agreement, Boeing manages selected parts and materials required for daily operations while providing local consignment support to improve parts availability and help Malaysia Airlines respond more effectively to maintenance demands.
Aida Salfaraz Ahmad Fadzil, chief operating officer of Malaysia Airlines, commented: "Boeing’s IMM services play an important role in supporting our fleet operations. Consistent access to parts and materials helps us maintain operational reliability and efficiency while supporting our commitment to safety and service delivery.”
William Ampofo, senior vice president, Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain, Boeing Global Services stated: “Boeing’s IMM program helps airlines improve materials readiness by ensuring the right part is available at the right place at the right time. The result is a more efficient operation and stronger support for fleet performance.”
Why It Matters
How It Works
Through the Integrated Materials Management (IMM) program, Boeing manages selected inventory and materials requirements on behalf of Malaysia Airlines, helping ensure critical parts are available when needed.
