Maldivian Managing Director, Mr. Ibrahim Iyas, commented: “We have made great strides toward achieving both operational excellence and a greater passenger experience with the addition of this brand-new ATR aircraft to our fleet. This aircraft offers an unprecedented level of comfort thanks to improved interior humidity control and much lower noise levels. Modern avionics and exceptional fuel economy which further support our dedication to sustainability while maximizing performance throughout our expanding network. We are pleased to welcome this cutting-edge aircraft and are optimistic that it will improve connectivity and reliability of our service across the Maldives.”

Event attendees were given an exclusive tour of the aircraft, showcasing the spacious cabin, advanced navigation systems and environmentally friendly design. With this new aircraft, Maldivian is poised to meet the growing demand for air transportation as these aircraft are well suited for the short domestic sectors within the Maldives.

This is part of the initiative led by Maldivian to further enhance aviation infrastructure. The addition of the fourth ATR 42-600 aircraft is a significant step towards achieving the Maldivian government's goal of expanding air travel options in the Maldives.
